Website Design for Superyacht Refit Yards & Project Management — Mediterranean | Lautryv

Superyacht refit & project management · Mediterranean

Refit season starts
with a Google search.
Are you on it?

Owners, captains, and fleet managers plan refits months in advance. When they search for a yard or project manager, the businesses that appear online are the ones that get the enquiry. Right now, most of your competitors are invisible. So are you.

The visibility window problem

Refit decisions are made
months before arrival

A captain planning a winter refit starts researching in August. They search, shortlist, and in many cases make a preliminary commitment before the season even ends. If your yard or project management company does not appear in that search, you are not in consideration — regardless of your reputation or capacity.

Word of mouth only reaches the people who already know you exist. A website reaches everyone else. And in a market where one refit contract can represent six figures, the cost of invisibility is not abstract.

The seasonal pattern is unforgiving. Miss the planning window and you miss the season. The calculator below shows exactly where you stand.

Who we work with

Built for the people who
manage the work

Whether you run a full refit yard or an independent project management operation, your clients are searching for you. We make sure they find you.

Refit & repair yards

La Ciotat, Viareggio, La Spezia, Genoa. Full-service yards competing for the same pool of winter refit contracts — online visibility is the first filter.

Independent project managers

You manage complex refits across multiple yards and subcontractors. Your clients need to find you before they find the yard — a professional site is your calling card.

Refit subcontractors

Carpentry, teak, electrical, systems integration. Yards refer subcontractors they can vouch for. A professional site makes that referral credible and findable.

Naval architects & surveyors

Refit scope always begins with a survey or design brief. If you are not appearing in early-stage searches, you are missing the entry point of the entire project.

Sector data · May 2026

The refit market is active.
The digital gap is real.

759
yachting suppliers mapped across France, Monaco and Italy — refit was among the highest-value categories with the lowest digital penetration

We mapped 759 yachting industry businesses across France, Monaco, and Italy for a 2026 directory study. Among the refit and project management category, a significant proportion have either no web presence or sites that have not been updated in years — functionally invisible to search engines.

The yards that do have strong sites — Lusben, Palumbo, Perini Navi — benefit disproportionately from search visibility, not because their work is better, but because they are findable at the moment an owner or captain is making a decision.

The opportunity for independent yards and project managers is significant. Competition for search visibility in the refit sector on the French Riviera and Italian coast is still relatively low. A well-built, well-optimised site launched now can rank prominently within one season cycle — before the window closes.

We built this understanding from direct industry data, not from general research. That is the difference between a site that ranks and one that does not.

Deliverables

What we actually
build for you

Not a template. A purpose-built site designed to convert the specific people who commission superyacht refits in the Mediterranean.

01

Project portfolio

Refit case studies structured for how owners and captains evaluate yards — vessel type, scope, timeline, subcontractors managed, before and after. Not a photo gallery.

02

Seasonal SEO

Optimised for the planning cycle — "superyacht refit La Ciotat," "yacht project manager Mediterranean," "refit yard French Riviera." Timed to rank when decisions are being made.

03

Capacity & capabilities page

Maximum LOA, available berths, crane capacity, specialist subcontractor network, certifications. Everything an owner's representative needs to qualify you in one visit.

04

Enquiry flow

Refit enquiries are specific. We build a structured brief form that captures LOA, scope, timeline, and budget range — so your first conversation is already qualified.

05

French, English & Italian

The Mediterranean refit market spans three language zones. Your site works in all three with correct technical vocabulary — not machine-translated filler.

06

Google Business & Maps

Yard location on Google Maps, correctly categorised, with photos and services listed — essential for port-area searches made on a phone from the dock.

Why it matters who builds it

A generic agency
will get this wrong

Generic web agency
Does not know the difference between a cosmetic and a full technical refit — the copy shows it
Targets "boat repair" and "yacht maintenance" — not how fleet managers and owners reps search
Has never heard of Lloyd's Register, RINA, or Bureau Veritas — your certifications mean nothing to them
No understanding of the Mediterranean seasonal planning cycle and how it drives search behaviour
Delivers in 8 weeks — after your planning window has already closed
Lautryv
We mapped Lusben, Valdettaro, Palumbo, Cantiere Viareggio — we know who your competitors are and where the gaps are
SEO strategy built around how fleet managers, owner representatives, and captains actually search
Technical vocabulary in French, English, and Italian — correct certifications, correct terminology, correct tone
Based in Saint-Laurent-du-Var with active clients across Port Vauban, Monaco, and La Ciotat
4-week build timeline — designed to hit your season window, not miss it
